In this lecture/workshop, Evanstein will introduce SCAMP, his Suite for Computer-Assisted Music in Python. In the first half, he will reflect on the last several years of his creative practice with SCAMP, which has included interactive compositions, data-driven collaborations with scientists, and popular animated YouTube videos. In the second half, he will offer an introduction to composing music in SCAMP, with attendees encouraged to follow along on their computers.
