Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and based in New York City: Leo Gevisser is a composer, keyboardist, and sound artist. His work intermediates the spaces between composed-produced scores, performances, site-specific & time-specific installations, and spatial sonic architectures. He has performed sets and premiered work in the U.S., Europe, and South Africa.
As a pianist, Leo received his B.M. in Piano Performance from the Juilliard School, and performs frequently as an international soloist. He is currently enrolled as a candidate in the Sound Art M.F.A program at Columbia University School of the Arts.
