Andrea Moreno

Andrea Moreno (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and film composer specializing in the art of experimental sound. Conceptually, the relationship between the Other and humans informs her artistry, as it explores the diversity of how humans and non-humans experience existence. Her practice is actuated through sound, video, installation, digital, 3D modeling, painting, ceramics, e.g.

She employs varied experimental sound-making and scoring in every aspect of her work. Her work largely feeds into the impression of sound, and how to explore meaning within an aural spectrum by fusing image and sound together. It is a dialogue between human and machine, perception and consciousness, and investigating the link between metaphysics and the grotesque. 

Andrea graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Technology. She is currently an MFA candidate in Sound Art at Columbia University.
