Alicyn Warren is a composer who also writes about electronic and film music. She is a graduate of Columbia University and Princeton University, where she earned a doctorate in composition. She has received grants and prizes from the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Musicological Society, the Mellon Foundation, and the Bourges International Electroacoustic Music Competition (two prizes, 1991 and 1999). Her works have been performed and broadcast in the US, UK, Canada, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, and are recorded on the Centaur and Le Chant due Monde labels.
