Born 1995 in Bern (CH) Julian Zehnder lives and works as a composer and artist in New York. Besides studying Sound Art at Columbia University - School of the Arts, Julian Zehnder works on his own projects as well as in collaboration with various artists. To establish connections to other disciplines, he uses techniques of interactive control, robotic systems or multi-channel audio. Thus, his compositions are mainly found outside the traditional concert format in galleries, museums or in public spaces. His works have been shown at Kunsthalle Basel, De Appel Museum Amsterdam, Swiss Art Awards, LT4K Cologne, Kantonale Bern, Festival Electroacoustique Monaco, Creative Media Center Hong Kong, and in context of Kunst-am-Bau among others.
