As part of the Arts Fusion festival, VT Music Department’s new Digital Interactive Sound and Intermedia Studio (DISIS) presents the “Beyond” Spring Benefit Event, a part of the “Digital iD” performance series featuring an evening of multisensory performances that fit no preexisting form or template.

Sponsored by the Center for the Arts, Music Department, and SOVA, the event will feature Boys & Girls Club Satellite Laptop Orchestra, performances by guest artists Ron Coulter, Brad Garton, Peter Kirn, and Dave Phillips, as well as Virginia Tech’s Linux Laptop Orchestra (L2Ork). “Digital iD” offers an exploration of synergies among music, technology, arts, gesture, collaboration, interactivity, and ultimately community.

All proceeds from the 7pm children’s program and 8pm concert will benefit Boys & Girls Club of Roanoke, VA.
